Edges

Edges was commissioned by cellist Jeffrey Zeigler and takes its starting point from a series of five photographs. Each image explores edges, surfaces, shapes and relationships within a particular visual space, and each became the basis for one of the five short movements of the piece. The five movements approach the cello from different perspectives, exploring contrasting aspects of its sound and possibilities.
