Wheel

Wheel was written as part of a programme exploring Paul Termos' Expres(s). The piece takes its title from the idea of a wheel: a continuous circular motion in which small elements return, shift and gradually transform.

The music explores rhythm through the slow development of simple motives. Rather than introducing a succession of contrasting materials, the piece remains focused on a small number of ideas, allowing them to evolve through repetition, displacement and subtle changes.
